Kuala Lumpur, 15 June 2025 – The rugby teams from Sekolah Tuanku Abdul Rahman (STAR) showcased commendable sportsmanship and grit at the prestigious VI Premier 10s 2025 tournament, competing in both the Under-15 and Under-17 categories.
In the Under-15 division, the young STAR players put up a strong fight despite tough matchups:
- STAR vs MCKK: 0 – 5
- STAR vs SMK Syed Putra: 7 – 14
The team demonstrated determination and promise, gaining valuable experience against seasoned opponents.
Meanwhile, the Under-17 team advanced to the Plate final after a series of challenging matches:
- STAR vs Thor Rugby: 0 – 19 (Cup/Plate qualification round)
- STAR vs MCKK: 7 – 5 (Plate semi-final)
- STAR vs SEMASHUR: 0 – 22 (Plate final)
Their victory over traditional rivals MCKK in the semi-final was a highlight of the day, reflecting the team’s resilience and fighting spirit. Although they fell short in the final against SEMASHUR, the team’s journey to the Plate final is a testament to their hard work and teamwork.
